Junior Swine Program
About the Program
The Kentucky Pork Producers is proud to provide the Junior Swine Program at the 2024 Annual Meeting. Previously titled as the “Show Pig Clinic”, the Junior Swine Program will focus on the importance of biosecurity within the swine industry. Kentucky Pork Producers is excited to welcome The Swientist program, ran by the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
The Swientist program is an agricultural education program where 4-H and FFA members can learn how to take increased biosecurity measures during agricultural exhibitions and at home. These biosecurity measures are used to help reduce the risk of zoonotic transmission of influenza A viruses as well as other zoonotic diseases to keep members and their animals healthy.
